Objective:

During this lesson, we will review the simple past and the present progressive by comparing what we did and what we are doing at the moment.

Discuss: 

How is the weather today? Right now, it is ________________.

How will the weather be tomorrow? It will be ____________. 





Task 6: Describing the Weather

  1. Let’s read some important vocabulary to describe the weather. 


Weather – the state of the atmosphere.


Cold – low temperature.

It will be sunny – sunny weather is expected.

Forecast – prediction of the weather.

Hot – high temperature.

Freezing – extremely cold.

There is a chance of rain – it might rain.

Warm – a comfortable, slightly high temperature.


The temperature will go down – it will get colder.

It will snow tomorrow – snow is expected.

Cool – a comfortable, slightly low temperature.

The temperature will rise – it will get warmer.


Clouds will cover the sky – it will be cloudy.




Task 7: Describing the Weather

What will happen to the weather later tonight?

What will the weather be like tomorrow (Tuesday)?

How will the weather change on Wednesday?

What kind of weather is expected on Thursday?

Will it snow again this week, and if so, when?



Task 8: Comparing the past and present.

  2. Write a similar paragraph but about your personal experience. 

  3. Be ready to share it in the main room! 




Task 9: Project time!

  1. As part of the evaluation from Site Academy, we need to complete 6 projects. 

  2. Project one is to talk about us. 

  3. You will write down your paragraph.

  4. Then, record yourself by presenting the information you wrote. 

  5. Send it to your teacher! 

  6. Do your best since the teacher will share it with the coordinate department of Site Academy. 


Information to be included: 

Name, age, place to work, job position, where you live, who lives with you, hobbies, what you don’t like to do.
