Objective:
By the end of this lesson, students will practice and clarify the difference between the Simple Present and Present Progressive by discussing everyday activities and actions happening right now.
Agenda:
Review Simple Present and Present Progressive.
Daily routines and current actions.

Listening activity.
Task 1:
Look at the pictures. What are the people doing?

Then, convert them to Simple Present, focusing on habitual actions (e.g., He rides a bike every day).
Task 2: Present Progressive vs. Simple Present Rules
Review the rules for both tenses:
Present Progressive:
Use for actions happening right now or around this moment.
Example: I am studying English right now.
Simple Present:
Use for habits or general truths.
Example: I study English every day.
Activity:
Complete two online activities that contrast these two tenses.

Task 4: Daily Routines and Current Actions
Discuss:
What do you normally do in the evening?
What are you doing tonight?
Example: I usually watch TV in the evening, but tonight, I am going out with friends.
In breakout rooms, discuss these questions:
What do you usually do in the morning?
What are you doing right now?
Do you often drink coffee in the morning?
Are you drinking coffee now?
Do you often listen to music while working?
What kind of music are you listening to right now?
Do you usually watch TV in the evening? What show are you watching currently?
Give long answers, and then share in the main room your partner’s answers.
